How it Works
Tow with confidence!
The Tiny Trailers rental experience is meant to be stress-free.
We strive to minimize the steps in the rental process while ensuring you have all the information you need prior to booking, during your trip, and upon returning the trailer.
1
Click on any of the “book now” buttons on our site
to be taken directly to our business page on Outdoorsy, a peer-to-peer marketplace that guides you through the rental process. We do not offer trailer rentals directly through Tiny Trailers at this time (we will in the future). All rentals are to be completed through our Outdoorsy page.
2
Download the Outdoorsy app on your phone
so you can quickly and easily receive messages from us. This is our main form of communication during the rental process.
3
Within 24 hours of booking, you will receive a ‘welcome message’
from Tiny Trailers through the Outdoorsy app. We will ask some initial questions to ensure you are prepared to tow our trailers, including your desired pick-up time on the first day of your rental period.
4
Pack and prepare for your adventure!
Don’t forget to check the “what’s included” list on our website so that you don’t overpack. Tiny Trailers provides many camping essentials.
5
Pick up the trailer from the address we provide.
Please allow for about 30 minutes for a walkthrough of the trailer and a detailed overview of the hitching/unhitching process.
6
Enjoy the seamless experience of your tiny trailer!
7
Return the trailer to the same location
you picked up by 7pm on the final day of your rental period.
8
If you loved your experience with Tiny Trailers,
please write us a review through Outdoorsy! We appreciate you and hope to rent to you again in the future.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of hitch do I need to tow your trailers?
All trailers require a 2” ball receiver on your towing vehicle.
What is the required height of the 2” ball receiver on my towing vehicle?
Measure from the ground to the TOP of the ball on your hitch. This should measure anywhere from 17-19” to tow our trailers comfortably and safely. There are various receiver heights that can be purchased at places such as Auto Zone, Fred Meyer, Camping World, etc. Most receivers have the ability to rise or drop by simply being flipped one way or another, and reattaching the ball appropriately. If you are unclear as to which receiver you need, please ask! We are here to help.
What type of connection is required on my towing vehicle to operate the trailer brakes?
The trailer requires a 7-round connection, but if you happen to have a 4-pin connection we can provide you with the converter. Just let us know!
Do I need shore power (the ability to plug-in the trailer) at my campsite to utilize all of its features?
Shore power is NOT required due to its large battery and built-in solar panel. Something to note, without shore power you will be unable to use the air conditioning, fireplace, or refrigerator cooler. These items require shore power to operate. For renters who do not have shore power at their site, we swap the refrigerator for a Yeti cooler and the ceiling fan operates wonderfully in place of the air conditioning.
Are pets allowed in the trailer?
Yes - we are pet friendly! We just ask that you do not leave pets unattended in the trailer at any time during your adventure.
What time can we pick-up and drop-off the trailer?
Tiny Trailers will coordinate the pick-up time with you once you have booked. We ask that the trailer be returned by 7pm on the final day of your rental period.
